Triethoxymethylsilane is an organosilane that can be used to prepare a known oxidation catalyst with excellent properties such as selectivity, stability and recyclability. It is also suitable for hydrogel heterogeneous platinum catalysts for the chemoselective hydrogenation of nitroaromatics.

Siwin-932 exhibits excellent solubility in common organic solvents, including alcohols, hydrocarbons, and acetone.

In neutral water, Siwin-932 is practically insoluble and only undergoes slow reactions to form silanols and higher condensation products.

The addition of a hydrolytic catalyst, such as inorganic or organic acids, ammonia, or amines, significantly accelerates the hydrolysis of Siwin-932.

Siwin-932 can be utilized as a water repellent to enhance the dispersibility of fillers and reduce their tendency to settle.

Siwin-932 is a crucial component in sol-gel coatings, silicone resins, and silicone rubber.
