Applications
Piperazinyl coupling agent is a difunctional silane coupling agent, which is prone to hydrolysis and cross-linking reactions.
It can be used to treat high grade and light color fabrics.Used as an additive for piperazine-modified silicone oil and silicone emulsions which mainly act as the finishing agents of textile and fabrics. 3-Piperazinopropylmethyldimethoxysilane can be employed as a coupling agent to bridge inorganic and organic materials. The dimethoxysilane group readily reacts with hydroxyl groups (OH) on inorganic surfaces, forming a covalent bond, while the piperazinopropyl group can interact with various organic molecules through different mechanisms like hydrogen bonding or ionic interactions
