Diethoxy(3-glycidyloxypropyl)methylsilane (GPMS) is an epoxysilane which can be used as a silane coupling agent for the surface treatment of a variety of materials. These silanes can also be used as adhesion promoters by modifying the surface properties of the substrates and elastomeric materials.
Application
1.3-(2,3-Epoxypropyl)propylmethyldiethoxysilane is mainly used in unsaturated polyester composites, which can improve the mechanical properties, electrical properties, and light transmittance of composites, especially the wet properties of composites. 2. The wet treatment of glass fiber with (containing this coupling agent) can improve the mechanical strength and electrical properties of glass fiber reinforced composites in the wet state. 3. In the chemicalbook wire and cable industry, the coupling agent is used to treat the clay-filled peroxide-crosslinked EPDM system to improve the consumption factor and specific inductance and capacitance. 4.3-(2,3-Epoxypropyl)propylmethyldiethoxysilane is copolymerized with vinyl acetate and acrylic acid or methacrylic acid monomers. These polymers are widely used in coatings, adhesives and sealants, providing excellent adhesion and durability.
