Applications

Siwin-AT602 is applied as an acid-type cross-linking agent in producing RTV silicone rubber. It is liquid under low temperature,and it can improve the performance of RTV silicone rubber in surface curing speed,tensile strength, oil-resistance and tenacity.Acetoxy silanes are more reactive than alkoxysilanes. Acetoxy silanes are frequently used as one-component mixtures to make RTV-1silicone sealants. These mixtures have an excess of multi-functional acetoxy silane added to silanolterminated PDMS, which results ina PDMS chain with acetoxy groups at the ends. When this compound is exposed to moisture some acetoxy groups are hydrolyzed andself-condense or react with other acetoxy and rapid crosslinking takes place. Aceic acid formation is one of the driving forces of thisreaction.
